Discovery Tours

Tour group in a laboratory

See where discoveries are made

Discovery tours provide a unique opportunity for the community to get in contact with medical research.

  • See our state of the art facilities
  • Learn about some of our most exciting discoveries
  • Meet our scientists
  • Hear how our research is shaping future treatments

Tours are free and run for approximately 90 minutes.

We welcome visits from schools, community groups, universities and individuals.

As tour groups visit a working laboratory, closed toe shoes must be worn for occupational health and safety reasons. The minimum age for discovery tour attendees is 12 years old.

The Institute is also open to the public for Open House Melbourne on 30 July 2017.

Tours can be booked online for select dates and times throughout the year. Bookings are essential.
