Public Lectures - 2 to 4 a year
Our free public lectures are designed to raise the awareness of medical research at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and to provide an opportunity for education on prevention, treatment and cure of specific diseases. Each lecture is usually followed by a panel discussion and an opportunity for questions from the floor.

The Light in Winter - Who owns you?

In this forum, we revisit how the discovery of the structure of DNA changed science and our understanding of what makes us human, the ethical issues that have arisen as a result of this knowledge, and how the discovery has shaped our lives.
