Work experience

WEHI has launched a new Secondary School Work Experience Program for Year 10 school students aged 15 years and over. Students will have a unique opportunity to learn about careers in medical research by participating in a week of research activities with our scientific teams. Learn more and find out how to apply.

Discovery tours

We offer tours to students, teachers and members of the public. Learn about our many discoveries, meet our scientists and visit our laboratories.

WEHI.TV

Our biomedical animations explain our discoveries in a scientifically accurate and easily understood way.

GTAC

The Gene Technology Access Centre (GTAC) is located in University High School, next door to our Parkville campus.

Schools students can access education programs in molecular and cell biology, and work with young scientists at a laboratory bench.

Science career talks

Is your school holding a careers day? Our scientists are available to visit schools to talk about their scientific career and what it is like to be a biomedical researcher.
