From mutant monsters to human clones, the big screen loves to draw inspiration from science for the sake of spectacle. But science can also be used to tell powerful human stories and tackle big questions facing humanity. Silver Screen Science film screenings are followed by panel discussions to unpick the science from a trio of thought-provoking films, with the help of Walter and Eliza Hall Institute researchers and Melbourne’s talented storytellers.

For films, screening times and ticketing information visit the Silver Screen Science page.
