An excellent opportunity exists for a Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Officer to join the Cancer Biology and Stem Cells Division.

About the position

As a Research Officer, you will contribute to the research effort and further develop your research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects within the research program to which they are appointed. The appointee will focus on understanding the heterogeneity of small cell lung cancer. The position will involve lung cancer biology, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing and developing mouse models of tumour development.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will have a relevant doctoral qualification or equivalent and excellent academic record and achievements. It is essential to have research experience that has resulted in publications, conference papers or reports. Demonstrated ability and potential for excellence and productivity in research is also required. Proven interpersonal and collaborative skills in achieving research outcomes is a further requirement.

Terms of appointment

This position is available for 2 years in a full time capacity. Salary range is Academic Level A ($71,234 - $96,661). Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
